With top San Francisco recording engineer talent Mark Pistel (Hercules and Love Affair, the group got together at Room 5 to craft their first group studio effort to date. Fusing traditional live rock’n'roll performance with the dextrous production and dance floor sensibilities of DJ culture, Solar Tide will make you think and make you move.

Each of the tracks on the release fills a specific emotional space and highlights a piece of NVO’s diverse music catalog. The title track “Solar Tide Spreading,” acts as the album touchstone and is a steadfast call to action in the battle for clean energy. Mid-tempo breakbeats contemplate the fight for our future, while vocal samples challenge the status quo. “Low Orbit Dub” draws from band members’ love for dub reggae and adds a passage of time and a vintage broken circuit vibe to the release, a calm before the storm of the final track. “Mars Raver” captures the raw energy of a road-tested crowd favorite, a four on the floor “robot dance party in space.” Its a big universe out there… take a trip with NVO to the frontier.
